This policy covers ParkMarker and Springly (the "Apps"), made by Trailmarker Studios ("we", "us"). We built these apps to be simple, offline-friendly tools — and we've tried to keep the data we touch just as simple.
We do not run any analytics or advertising SDKs in either app, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. The only diagnostic information we receive is standard crash reports generated by Apple's built-in crash reporting, if you've opted in to sharing those with app developers in your iOS settings. These reports help us fix bugs and do not include content you've entered in the app.
Both apps can request access to your device's location. This is used entirely on-device to show you parks or springs near you and to support location-based check-ins (e.g. marking a park as visited while you're there). Your location is not sent to us or stored on our servers, and you can deny or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings without losing core functionality.
ParkMarker connects to a database to display park ratings and to let you submit your own ratings and notes. Ratings you submit are stored anonymously — they are not linked to your name, email, or any other identifying information we could use to trace a rating back to you.
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and revise the date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes where practical.
